Water Palace Tirta Gangga Bali

Tirta Gangga literally means holy water from Gangga in India, is located in Karangasem regency just 2 hours drive from Kuta beach. If you pay a visit to Tulamben or Amed be sure to drop in to this stunning water garden.

Situated in the green rice field and surrounded by green hill make this water palace a perfect place to get away from hectic life of Kuta. The garden was built in 1948 by Karangasem king. The garden consist of of pools and fountains surrounded stone carvings and statues.

From the parking area you will pass restaurant and art shop along the way to the entrance gate. On the right side of the garden lies a beautiful fish pond and a water fountain about 5 meters high. You can walk on the fish pond through a small path way.

The water garden is a mix between Balinese and Chinese architecture. There are swimming pools and another pool under the bridge at the left side of the water fountain. At the upper side of the garden you can find a restaurant and bungalows.

After a visit to Tirta Gangga you can continue to Tulamben, the best diving spot in Bali. Don't forget to visit Candidasa one of beautiful beach in Karangasem.
