Tanah Lot Temple in Bali Island

Tanah Lot Temple is located in Tabanan regency, 45km from Kuta. Tanah Lot temple known for its sunset. Everyday more than thousand visitor coming to see the sunset.The temple located above the rock. This temple was built by Dang Hyang Niratha who go to east and teaching Hinduism in 15th century.

You can find a lot of souvenir shop near the temple. This is operated mainly by the local people and the price must be reasonable.

You will be lucky to see Balinese pray at this temple if your coming at the temple festival day. This festival held every once in six month. Though everyday there are some Balinese that pray here especially local people.

Besakih Temple the Mother Temple of Bali

Besakih is typically an ancestor Temple, the area is covered by a cool atmosphere at the western slope of Agung mountain.

Besakih known as the 'Mother Temple' of Bali Island. Besakih temple basically consist of hundreds of small family temple. Best time to visit Besakih temple is on the festival of the temple.

You will find thousands of Balinese spread along the Besakih area for blessing. The festival will be held for a month. During festivals the shrines are wrapped in colored cloth symbolic of the deities.

Penataran Agung is the center of Besakih temple. At the center of Penataran Agung stand three shrine enthroning the Trisakti, the trinity of Brahma,Vishnu, and Siva.You can arrange your tour along with Klungkung regency tour "Klungkung-Karangansem Tour". From Denpasar to Klungkung is about one hour.

First visit Kamasan Village ,the village of traditional Balinese painter. All classic Balinese painting and silver smith are found here. Kertagosa is the second visit, the palace of former Bali kingdom of Gelgel. Kertagosa was a Royal Courts of Justice. The building decorated with traditional Kamasan painting ceiling.

Then you continue to Besakih temple, this will take about 30 minutes from klungkung to Besakih. Rest at Bukit Jambul rest-area to enjoy the beautiful panorama of south Bali. When you visit Besakih, you have to wearing sarong as other temple in Bali. Local guide will accompany your trip around Besakih complex.
